A fine sailormade woolwork picture of a ship before a colourful headland, within a good and perhaps original bird's eye maple frame.

 

English circa 1870.

The ship flies a Blue Ensign, that of the Naval Reserve, flown by private ships whose master and a designated proportion of the crew are naval reservists.
