A rare coffee pot retaining a wonderful colour having never been polished. It is imagined that the ground coffee is spooned into the top section, boiling water poured over which then passes through the graduated filters leaving a pot-full of fresh coffee. The lid can then be transferred to the pot and you are ready to go. Copper, with an ebonized fruitwood handle and knob to the lid, a cast bronze foot, and rims, tinned throughout.
Dating to the very beginning of 19th century; origin uncertain.
