A pair of silver-faced bridge score card holders, within each hinge, running along the top edge, is held a propelling pencil, all fastened to a morocco grained leather backing and retaining a couple of printed booklets bearing the Waldorf logo.
The silver face of each is engraved 'W.W-A. from J.W-A. 1903.
Hallmarked London 1903, makers mark for Goldsmith & Silversmiths Co.Ltd., further stamped to the reverse of the silver cover 'Goldsmith's Compy 112 Regent St.W.'
W.W-A being William Waldorf-Astor; the giver likely to be John 'Jack' Astor who died in the sinking of the Titanic in 1912.
