A fine and rare sailors’ woolwork picture depicting a Colonial Garrison with four barques in an anchorage, barracks and associated buildings before a mountainous horizon. There are two hedge-lined paths busy with people approaching the buildings; that to the left of the picture shows two women with a dog, the more central path has three characters following behind four red-coated British soldiers.

In fine condition retaining excellent colours. Within a grained frame with tired gilt slip.
