A fine silver presentation model rudder made and retailed by John Gilliam, Lincolns Inn.
Finely chased with appropriate detailing and hallmarked for London 1853. Maker's mark I.G assumed to be for John Gilliam, successor of Makepeace and Walford, Serle Street.
Within the original red leather-covered and blue velvet lined case, now tatty.
