A charming eighteenth powder horn retaining a wonderful and original patina.

Engraved allover, much of it by compass-work, including a mass of love-hearts and a scale-like design at the wide end but also engraved with sailing vessels of several types, a church and a barn, two chickens, (one a fighting cock), mariners’ compasses and the date 1777 with the initials IR.
