'Danger' after Herbert Dicksee. Signed artist's proof on vellum, mounted and within an oak frame of the period; the original work exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1906. English circa 1905.

Herbert Thomas Dicksee (1862–1942) was an English painter who specialised in oil paintings of dogs, particularly the deerhound. He belonged to an illustrious artistic family, his father being the artist John Dicksee (1817–1905). Herbert studied art at the Slade School, London, on a scholarship, and his first painting was exhibited in 1881.
