Painted in watercolour on paper and within oak wedge frames, by Luigi Renault. Son of Michel Renault, he was a ship portraitist working out of Leghorn in the late 19th century. A child prodigy, he was producing saleable paintings at the age of eleven. His work is held in numerous museums including Swansea, Poole and The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
