An early 19th century Chinese mother-o-pearl gaming counter, engraved obverse with a view of Longwood House, St. Helena, and reverse with his tomb beneath weeping willows.

Napoleon died on the 5th May 1821 after living in exile at Longwood House on the island of Saint Helena for six years. Initially buried on the Island he was later exhumed, in 1840, and interred at Les Invalides, Paris.
