A fine Georgian 'tent-topped' teacaddy veneered with large and attractive slabs of shell divided by bands of tortoiseshell and standing on a band of the same.
Beneath the keyhole to the front is an un-engraved shield of silver-coloured metal; within is a lead covered pressing lid with a handle to match that to the hinged lid.
