Medal for the German Industrial Exposition of 1844.

Bronze medal to commemorate the German Industrial Exposition of 1844 held in Berlin. Designed and produced by Daniel Friedrich Loos, Lorenz Okensuss and Emil Schilling (signed obverse: LOOS D and LORENZ Z.; signed reverse: SCHILLING F).  Obverse: Depicts Germania sitting on rock (inscribed: SEID EINIG) with a wreath in hand and a broad sword on her lap - ERINNERUNG AN DIE AUSSTELLUNG DEUTSCHER GEWERBSERZEUGNISSE ZU BERLIN 1844.

Reverse: A steam locomotive crossing a stone bridge surrounded by a wreath with five different shields depicting various aspects of industry and commerce. VORWAERTS MIT DEUTSCHEM FLEISSE UND DEUTSCHER KRAFT.  Bronze; dia: 1.75 in 

Small bruise at 3 o'clock to be seen to the obverse.
