Two, or a pair, of library ladders, very nicely made from solid honey-coloured oak gently tapering towards their tops. They are unrestored, showing many signs of their age and usage but sound and stable. There have been repairs and a few replacements over the years, carried out by competant cabinet makers. The replacements are obvious as they were not polished and thereby sealed; they are now blackened with age.
