Jason and the Golden Fleece by François Viger

Artist: François Viger (Dieppe c.1708 - Paris 1784)

18th century gilt bronze clock modelled around Jason's offering of the Golden Fleece to King Aeëtes. The enamel dial signed Viger a Paris, the backplate of the silk suspension movement further engraved with Viger's signature and numbered 1175; standing on a marble base with gilt bronze mounts. French circa 1750.
