Heemskirk-Type Candlestick

A rare, late 15th century copper alloy candlestick, North West Europe, with a round socket aperture and continuous corrugation from the underside of the central drip pan down to the base.

 

This example, being what Christopher Bangs refers to as a 'variation with "trumpet" foot' has been reduced of its skirt but remains attractive and rare.
