Georgian Cat

An eighteenth century 'cat' of turned Lignum Vitae, made to support a bowl or dish, the stepped design allowing for its use with bowls of various sizes. Named a cat due to its always landing on its feet; three feet always providing stability on an uneven floor.


Rare in this wood. English circa 1790.
