Fijian Throwing Club ‘I Ula Drisia' made from a hard wood root stock and with a good and fine patina, the grip produced by the extensive carving of “tavatava”;zig-zag lines.
On a wrought iron stand, 17 3/8 inches high x 5 3/8 inch square.
Ula were personal throwing clubs for throwing at an enemy. Often a Fijian warrior would have several, either tucked into his belt or close to hand. It is for this reason they are the most common type of Fijian war club on the market although these Ula come in many different forms.
