Dutch Kettle Bucket

hover over image to zoom

A rare form of the common 18th/19th century Dutch tea-kettle bucket, ('teestoof') being made entirely of metal, the body made of copper in place of the usual mahogany, and then with the usual brass bands, on a wooden example to bind the wooden staves. Retaining the original brass liner to hold burning charcoal to keep the kettle hot.

Dutch circa 1820.
