A rare brass chaffing dish, the raised body pierced and with a gadrooned edge set between a frame of three legs terminating in a lion's paw.
Each leg has a hinged fleur de lys within the body which offers a setting closer to the hot charcoal when using a smaller pan at the table.
Dutch circa 1720.
