A good, late 19th century, ship-in-a-bottle with a diorama of a port town of carved houses painted red and white, the closure covered with sailormade-made hitch knots.
More often than not, these ships in bottles with diorama backgrounds are from Continental Europe, however the ship in this bottle flies the British Red Ensign and so may in fact be English; made circa 1890.
overall length 12.5 inches.
