A fine pair of silver and cut glass scent bottles made to mark and celebrate the Jubilee of Queen Victoria, the hinged lids with rococo repoussé decoration, touch marked for the jubilee year of 1897, the collars fully marked for that year and the London assay office; the finely cut glass bodies with three Victoria Jubilee crowns between hobnail cutting.

This crown was worn by Queen Victoria when sitting for her official jubilee portrait in 1897 and was made by R & S Garrard in 1870. It is a miniature crown, designed to be worn over a veil, the custom adopted by Victoria following the death of Prince Albert on the 14th December 1861.
