Fine example of a cowrie shell snuff box, mounted with unmarked silver coloured metal, (save for the 'E R' stamped the interior), the lid neatly engraved with a boar's head couped, the crest of the Campbell Clan, and beneath this a monogram; J.Mc C., presumably a gift from Campbell to Mc.C.
