A sailor’s coconut dipping cup with an exotic wood handle decorated with marine ivory bosses at the terminal of the handle and again where the handle meets with the coconut which is polished smooth save for the carved initials to one side ‘N.B’ and the date to the other, 1852. The base of the coconut is carved with a four pointed mariner’s compass and to the front is carved a shield within which is engraved ‘BARK FOX’.
