A George IV/William IV armorial carriage harness badge, for the Callum baronetcy of Hastede in Suffolk. Finely fashioned repoussé brass filled with lead and now mounted onto a fabric covered wooden panel and within a wedge form bird’s eye maple frame. All circa 1830.

The Callum baronetcy was created for Thomas Callum in 1660 and became extinct on the death of Sir Thomas Gery Callum in 1855.
Sir Thomas Gery Cullum, was a Charterhouse graduate, member of the Royal Academy and the Linnean Society, and a medical doctor. He was a well-regarded author on science and botany.
