A seventeenth century bronze cauldron from the South Petherton, Somerset foundry of William Sturton II, son of William Sturton I. 

Dia:12 ins (14.5 ins across the hangers) x h: 10 3/8 ins

Born in 1636, a cauldron by Sturton II, dated 1666, is in the Castle kitchens of St. Fagan’s in Cardiff. Another dated 1671 is to be found in Taunton Museum.
