A 'Brighton Bun', military campaign candlesticks that screw together to form a bun-shape when travelling and can then be assembled as a pair of candle sockets and pans to catch the melted wax.
This example has a workshop number '777' cut into each of the two parts of the thread to ensure the correct two halves are together when they leave the bench.

A weighty and good quality example of this classic piece of military campaign hard-wear. Each assembled candlestick is 3 inches high x 4 1/8 in dia.
