Mezzotint, laid down onto the glass and reverse painted. Engraved by Henry Spicer, also a miniature and enamel painter, after the portrait painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds. Published by Carington Bowles, ‘Map & Printseller at No. 69 in St. Pauls Church Yard, London’ sometime around the middle of the 18th century.
The sitter was the second wife of 6th Earl of Coventry and daughter of 11th Baron St. John Bletso.
